After losing his father to suicide and finding the body when he was just 8-years-old, Steve as you would imagine, had some serious challenges when it came to his early developmental years. As time went on, he chose some of the coping mechanisms that mirrored what he briefly witnessed his father use: alcohol and drugs.

By the time Steve reached his early teenage years, he was smoking cigarettes and marijuana daily. Thought to be just a phase, the signs of true addiction were ignored by friends, family, and social workers/therapists alike. Before age 20, Steve would be introduced to cocaine which would eventually lead him down a very dark road of depression, suicidal thoughts/behavior and heavy drug use as his daily way of life.

In the winter of December of 2010, Steve would be faced with major life challenges: having two homes in foreclosure, being over a million dollars in debt, being in a medically induced coma on life support with both lungs collapsed. Plus, a drug habit with the equivalency of 140 Vicodin pills EVERY day!

If this wasn’t enough for any person to face, he would be tested yet again very soon after getting clean. Less than two months after he started to heal, his next-door neighbor and best friend of 35 years would relapse (the two got clean together) and die from the drug, OxyContin.

Since getting clean and deciding to live life on life’s terms, Steve has moved on to much bigger and better things. He has followed his dream to hang around, and work alongside some of the biggest names in show business such as, George Clooney, Dominic West of The Wire, Jodi Foster, David Schwimmer of Friends, Ruth Wilson, Maura Tierney, Donnie Wahlberg, James Spader, Colin Donnell, Joshua Jackson and many others.
